Dev Patel was left star-struck at the Oscars by Angelina Jolie.
The ‘Slumdog Millionaire' star admits he was stunned when he came face-to-face with the ‘Changeling' actress on the red carpet before the glitzy ceremony and had no idea what to say to her.
Dev said: "I haven't met Brad Pitt but I met Angelina briefly, and I didn't do much talking. I was just like totally silent. I don't know what she said to me. It's all a blur."
Dev's co-star, Madhur Mittal, also had an embarrassing encounter with a Hollywood star before the awards.
He explained: "There was a party last night, and I spilled wine all over Matthew Perry. He was cool about it, because I'm his biggest fan."
Meanwhile, music legend Sir Elton John has confessed to being a huge fan of ‘Slumdog Millionaire' - which scooped eight Academy Awards - and is particularly proud of it being a British movie.
He said: "It's a feel good film. I think none of the others that were nominated are particularly feel good films, and I think this year, this is what people wanted to see.
"It's a wave of like 'yes'. It's a British-made film and we're very proud of it."
Actor Ben Stiller also spoke of his love for the movie, in particular its director Danny Boyle.
He gushed: "I love all his movies. I think he's an amazing director and he's been doing it for years.
"It all came together in this movie and it's very, very well deserved."
