Disney sets out to impress with its venture into the realm of CGI animation (without Pixar). The story tells the tale of Chicken Little a cute, yet unintentionally troublesome, chicken who lives in Oakey Oak, an all animal town. One day Little starts a town wide panic when he claims that the sky is falling down! Fortunately for the town, but not for Little, the sky does not fall down. We re-join the story a year later and find Little is still shunned by the town, including his own father, for his mistake a year earlier.

Determined not to be beaten down he joins the baseball team, even though he has trouble even lifting the bat. Luckily his three equally outcast friends have faith in him; a pig with a love for '70s disco (Steve Zahn); a goldfish in a diving helmet; and Abby, a bubbly buck-toothed female duckling (Joan Cusak). According to her sources in magazines such as Modern Mallard, Abby is sure Chicken Little merely needs "closure" with dad over the sky incident to regain his confidence and self-respect. However when the sky really does appear to be falling down due to an alien invasion Little must warn the town and his father of the danger, but can he make anyone believe him in time…?
